Q1/2013: Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Consulting: Consulting and supporting a medium sized company during the introduction/implementation of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) to a program of 9 teams distributed to three different locations in Europe.

August 2010 – März 2011: Research Project „Emergency Evacuation Assistant“, Project Manager: Project manager, responsible for the design and development of an important sub system for an evacuation assistant for use in emergencies during large-scale public events. Coordinating between internal stake holders and project partners (representatives from fire departments, police, security services and government). Using Scrum for planning and coordinating the software development efforts.

Development of an web interface for management of traffic simulations. October 2009 – May 2010: Contribution to Project Management Guidelines: Contribution and review of important parts an initative to create and establish a project management process and guidelines in a medium sized enterprise. Process includes traditional and agile elements to allow tailoring to a specific context. Created templates and guidelines, review of artifacts and processes. Implementation of the new guidelines in several projects.

May 2008 – March 2011: Large Internet Portal for calculation of routes and fuel consumption, Project Manager: Large internet portal for calculation routes and fuel consumption. B2B users, integration with backend systems user management and fuel price management. Took over project management at the request of the customer after the initial requirement specification phase. High risk profile due to very demanding schedule new technology, new architecture and complex stakeholder structure (customer). Project implemented by an internal Scrum team, client coached to slowly transition from classical waterfall approach to a more agile approach.

Coordinated and prioritized the analysis, estimation and implementation of development work from several projects. Review and acceptance of development artifacts. Reporting to senior management (director of project management, vice president sales) including product vision documents, release planning and progress indicators. Close interaction with Scrum Master to implement a high quality Scrum process.

September 2007 – March 2008: Development of an intranet call center application for the automotive industry, Project Manager: Joined the project as project manager after senior management declared the project to be at risk. Project turn around in two months, delivering a intranet call center application for one of the world largest automotive enterprise. Project was part of a larger program that included solutions from globally distributed partners (e.g. France, Hungary, Japan). Project stayed in focus of senior management, direct reporting to the executive board.
